Colm has been working in the recruitment industry since 2008 having completed his Masters of Business Management. He joined Lawson Delaney in its infancy back in 2013 and has been heavily involved in the growth of the Professional Services team.
Colm has a unique background having worked within online recruitment job boards, LinkedIn Talent Solutions and recruitment agencies. He has gained this exposure across the globe in Ireland, Dubai, India, China, and since 2011, Australia. By the age of 24, Colm was managing a business and by 25, Colm had 70 people reporting to him. This experience has given him a unique perspective of seeing recruitment from multiple angles and sometimes through different languages.
Throughout his career, Colm has always stayed true to his core value of helping people in an honest, transparent manner. It was due to this that Colm organised Lawson Delaney’s first Pathways to Partnership event which involved a panel of four diversely successful Accounting Partners and over 100 Business Services Accountant guests. Following this event, Colm managed Lawson Delaney’s first Pathway to Partnership mentoring program where 21 prominent Partners mentored future stars of the profession for a year. No money was exchanged at all, it was purely to give back to the industry and to help the people within it.
Colm was recently chosen as one of the top five recruiters in Australia across every market by recruitment’s industry body, RCSA. He wants to continue his passion in helping people secure opportunities that will improve their lives. He focuses on Business Services and SMSF Accountants up to Partner level.
